Video 16 Aug 50 notes

Andrew Weil, my favorite author/physician combines alternative medicine with conventional medicine.  Sometimes, when conventional medicine fails one turns to homeopathic alternatives.  FYI: I wrote this comment prior to watching the video.

I believe in alternative medicine just because I know many friends and family members turned to it and it has worked for their particular cases.  I also know that homeopathy is by far the most debated and controversial.  Looking forward to the video.

James Randi dismantles homeopathy.

As shown by Randi in the video, there is no way homeopathy can work according to chemistry as we know it; the math simply doesn’t work out. At commonly-available retail dilutions, there is a vanishingly small chance that the product contains even one molecule of the supposedly-active ingredient—which is typically an antidote to the desired effect, if not an outright poison.
